We told you on April 2 that HCA was recruiting for this committee with an April 24 application deadline. Their August 27 bulletin contains the roster. It also narrows the job: April’s recruitment pitch said the RHT-AC “will help prioritize projects, make policy recommendations, and play a driving role for the RHT Program.” The bulletin says the committee is not a decision-making body. It held its first meeting in June and meets quarterly; members serve an initial two-year term.

Amendment 3 was issued August 28 and does one thing: it adds a Round 2. We covered 2026HCA9 when the packet posted on July 18, and the wildfire extension that moved it from August 12 to August 26 on August 7. Round 1 closed on schedule August 26. Two days later HCA reopened it.

We’re accepting a second round of applications for the Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) Workforce Incentive Program until September 8 at 2 p.m. If you’ve already applied, we’ll evaluate your application as soon as possible. You don’t need to resubmit. If you were interested in this opportunity but couldn’t prepare an application for the first round, we encourage you to apply now.

Of course, none of the back end moved. Award notification is still September 16 — the same day as the quarterly webinar — and Work Order #1 still cannot start later than October 30. The thirteen extra days come entirely out of the evaluation window, which now has to score a second round in the eight days between September 8 and September 15. If you sat out Round 1 because the wildfire extension still wasn’t enough time, this is the door, and it is the last one.
South Dakota names 13 RHTP recipients on OpenSD, $5,618,367 against $121.5 million announced
On August 20 we wrote that South Dakota had announced 110 RHTP awards worth $121.5 million across two rounds without naming a single grant recipient, and that OpenSD’s contract search returned three RHT-numbered records. It now returns thirteen — ten contracts and three grants — with begin dates going back to April 15. Ten new records in nine days.
