We flagged the September 11 Funding Cycle Updates webinar in the September 4 issue. The recording went up yesterday, 59 minutes with Commissioner Heidi Hedberg, and so did the next date:

The event opens with a look back at Year 1 lessons learned and a preview of what to expect in Year 2, followed by a panel of successful applicants who will share insights and take audience questions. The afternoon offers theme-specific office hours where the RHTP team will be available to answer questions on crafting a successful Year 2 application.
Please note that while vendors and contractors are welcome to attend in their capacity as applicants, attendees are asked to refrain from using the event as a marketing or sales opportunity.

Virginia names award dates for the Provider Interoperability & Provider Productivity RFAs
Both VHCF funds are closed; Provider Productivity went on schedule at 5 p.m. Eastern yesterday. What’s new is the calendar:
VHCF anticipates sharing a Notice of Awards by September 30, 2026, for Provider Interoperability and October 14, 2026, for Provider Productivity.
That’s $26 million in Year 1 across the two subinitiatives, per the deck we walked on September 8. The FAQ file and office-hours form came off the page with the application materials.
North Carolina sets a September 23 webinar on the $20 million Rural Health Innovation Fund and names five school-based health center recipients
NCDHHS added this to its RHTP page:
Please join a webinar Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. to learn more about a $20 million kickstart investment to launch the Rural Health Innovation Fund. Funds will be available through a competitive application process. Webinar registration is required and available online.
In July the state described the fund as $20 million a year for up to five years to help rural providers assess digital needs and modernize infrastructure, launching this fall. This is the launch. No RFA yet.
Same day, the Governor’s office announced $1.25 million for school-based health centers to five recipients, no per-award amounts:
Appalachian District Health Department
Blue Ridge Community Health Services
First Health of the Carolinas
Mountain Community Health Partnership
Wilson County Health Department
Eligibility required an active grant agreement with the NCDHHS Division of Child and Family Well-Being and an operating School Health Center Program. CMS ran its own release on it the same day.

The other 24 still read Closed. This one was posted April 30 at $3 million, about 15 awards at roughly $200,000 each, due May 15. So 24 applicants for about 15 slots. No recipient list is posted.
