Docs: Rural Presidential Fitness Test Implementation Request for Applications Announcement
Nevada Health Authority has published an RFA dedicating 1,298,985 of its CMS Rural Health Transformation cooperative agreement (grant #RHTCMS332074-01) to school-based reinstatement of the Presidential Fitness Test. The Nevada Department of Education gets 85% (1.10M) and the State Public Charter School Association gets 15% ($195K) — eligibility is limited strictly to those two state entities, with no path for hospitals, FQHCs, EMS agencies, or community organizations to apply. NVHA expects the fitness initiative to be funded in the first two budget periods only, signaling a near-term political priority rather than a sustained program line.
