New Mexico extends the Rural Health Innovation Fund RFP deadline to Aug 3

The New Mexico Health Care Authority has issued a second amendment to the Rural Health Innovation Fund (RHIF) RFP, moving the application deadline to 5:00 p.m. MDT on Monday, August 3, 2026. RHIF backs community-designed, community-led projects addressing locally identified needs in the state’s rural, frontier, and Tribal communities — preventive care, behavioral health and substance-use services, non-medical drivers of health, and eligible facility or equipment improvements. Applications are submitted through the state’s Submittable portal.

In brief: CO, OK, ND, WY

  • Colorado posted a new CMS Fact Sheet on Capital Expenditures and Infrastructure (Category J), dated July 27, on its RHTP program page — useful federal guidance for anyone budgeting construction or equipment against RHTP dollars.

  • Oklahoma’s EMS & Community Paramedicine Vehicles and Doula Expansion NOFOs both closed July 27 and have come off the funding page; the OSDE Project 695 school-Medicaid grant (Sept 11) we covered on July 22 is now posted there with three EdPlan Health info sessions.

  • North Dakota added a fresh round of Q&A to its School-Based Wellness Equipment funding opportunity — allowable-cost clarifications on playground and used cardio equipment, and eligibility for onsite schools at Qualified Residential Treatment Programs.

  • Wyoming pinned down the deadlines on its Submittable portal: the RHTP tech-vendor RFPs close July 31 and the RFAs close August 2 — the two most imminent dates in this issue. (We covered the RFPs when they posted July 11; the firm close dates hadn’t been stated until now.)
