Note: Budget Period 1 closes tomorrow, and the Year 1 money that hasn’t been named yet is about to show up in award lists or quietly roll forward. RHTP Verified Intelligence tracks both, state by state. Also: this morning we crossed $6B in the Awards Tracker.

Massachusetts sets six listening sessions for four MeHI and MassCyberCenter programs, and names the vendors behind its Rural Health Cybersecurity Grant Program
MassTech posted a Rural Health Transformation Program page for the four technology programs its two divisions will run: the Rural Digital Health Sandbox, up to $475,000 per company; Rural SHINE-HT, $250,000 per rural FQHC plus $182,000 per pilot to a pre-qualified implementation partner; Rural HIE, $800,000 to $1.4 million per regional TA hub; and the cybersecurity grant. We covered the first three amounts October 7. All four funding notices are “coming soon.”
The cybersecurity grant is the one with a fixed shape. It funds services from CyberTrust Massachusetts, the state’s nonprofit Security Operations Center, with SentinelOne for managed detection and response and ThreatLocker for application control. Grants can cover the full cost for a year and renew for up to five. Applicants start by getting a scope of work from CyberTrust through rhtpcyber@masstech.org.
SHINE-HT’s implementation partners are already picked. MeHI’s pre-qualified list has nine: 43 Strategic Consulting, Clinovations, Community Technology Cooperative, Facktor Health, FASTX Partners, the Mass League of Community Health Centers, OCHIN, Phicili-tate Change and UMass Chan.

California posts its Tribal Set-Aside Program webinar deck
HCAI and CRIHB walked eligible Tribal health programs through the $11.65 million set-aside on October 27, and the slides went up the next day. We covered the allocation formula and the November 20 deadline in the October 27 issue. The deck adds what happens after that:
November to December: HCAI reviews applications and confirms eligibility
December 2026: HCAI and subrecipients sign grant agreements
September 30, 2027: all funds drawn down
It also says Tribal health programs can apply to the competitive WDRR, EHR Modernization and FM-OB grants as well as the set-aside. The EHR money covers first-time adoption or replacement only. Upgrades or optimization of an existing EHR are unallowable, and so are HIE onboarding and participation fees. WDRR allows no indirect costs, only a program-cost allowance of up to 10%.
Questions go to CRIHB at CalRHT.ta@crihb.org.
