Summary: “The Delaware Rural Health Transformation Plan unites 15 integrated initiatives designed to expand access, strengthen the workforce, modernize technology, and improve population health in rural Sussex and Kent Counties. Together, these projects directly impact approximately 400,000 rural residents—representing 38–40% of the state’s population—by building sustainable, community‑based healthcare capacity. The total estimated direct cost of the plan is $721,329,131.03, with an indirect cost rate of 9.1% applied to ensure statewide oversight and coordination.”

“funds will support a vendor-managed technology product that supports implementation of SB122 (https://legis.delaware.gov/BillDetail/142169) and related workforce data needs”. SB122 excerpt:
This Act supports critical health care workforce research and planning efforts by giving the Division of Public Health and the Delaware Health Care Commission the ability to obtain comprehensive workforce-related data from the Division of Professional Regulation. It requires the Division of Public Health’s Office of Healthcare Provider Resources to collaborate with the Delaware Health Care Commission and the Division of Professional Regulation to determine what data should be collected from health care providers during the licensing and renewal process to assist the Division of Public Health with workforce research and planning. This Act also directs the Division of Professional Regulation to collect health care workforce-related data during the licensing or renewal processes.
Total of $2,685,200.

Grant Funding Opportunity (GFO): A GFO will soon be released to support RHT efforts. Details about eligibility, timelines, and application requirements will be shared once the GFO is published. RHT Program Proposed Structure
To help inform Michigan’s strategy for prioritizing the funding from the RHT Program, MDHHS engaged with rural health providers, community partners, Medicaid beneficiaries and rural community residents.
The department sought to better understand how this one-time grant could help increase and improve sustainability for rural providers, and how rural providers can continue to thrive, expand, and serve their communities, especially with other predicted federal funding cuts being implemented.
MDHHS has integrated feedback to inform the following proposed* structure:

Utah webinar
The Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) hosted an informational webinar about Utah’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Thursday 2/12 over Zoom.
