Alaska reports receiving ~1,800 LOIs
The first Letter of Interest (LOI) registration period for Alaska’s Rural Health Transformation Program closed on March 11, 2026. Nearly 1,800 LOIs were submitted through the online portal.
Submissions are now entering the review process. The Alaska Community Foundation will conduct the initial review and categorization of LOIs. The Department will review the organized list of submissions to inform decisions about how LOIs will advance to the next stage.
Organizations that have submitted LOIs receive notifications and further guidance as submissions are processed.
Additional opportunities to submit LOIs will be announced as they become available.

Nebraska receives revised notice of award
Nebraska received $218.5 million for the first year of a five-year grant. DHHS received a revised notice of award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) dated February 27, 2026, for Nebraska’s updated plan and budget. This approval allows DHHS to access the federal funds to launch Nebraska’s seven initiatives.
A project of this size and scope requires participation from many stakeholders across multiple fields. Nebraska intends to release multiple Requests for Applications (RFAs) over the next five years to provide organizations with multiple opportunities to apply for funds and assist in implementing this important work. There will be additional opportunities for applications in each funding year.
